Use Old Laptop LCD LED Monitors to Create a false Window
Are you looking for a clever way to repurpose your old laptop? You have come to the right place. I found this awesome video on DIY Perks YouTube channel that shows how to take old/broken laptop LCD/LED screens and make them into a “faux window” light panel. It can be used for any room without a window, a Table/Floor standing light or even added lighting for photography. The possibilities are endless — let your creativity run wild.

To complete this you will need some laptop LCD/LED screens and a few electronic components. Watch the video for step by step instructions. When it’s complete, your new “faux window” light panel will emit a white light powered by a low voltage power adapter. The illuminating light gives the panels a 3D effect. With winter just around the corner, help ward off those winter blues with this “faux window”.
For all you visionaries out there, use high-resolution photos of various landscapes (beaches, mountains, or forests) to display on this light panel setup for a change of scenery.
WARNING: Please always find the proper means of recycling your electronics to avoid the dreaded landfill. Remember the landfill is not a place your electronics want to spend eternity. Try different ways to repurpose your electronics ingeniously.
